BL Thermodynamics is based in Aachen, at the very western end of Germany. Our office is located only a few hundred meters from the borders of the Netherlands and Belgium. From this strategic location, with Brussels, Maastricht, Cologne and Düsseldorf in close proximity we reach out to our clients all around the world and maintain a strong connection to our European supply chain.

Absorption Chiller

BL Thermodynamics provides turnkey ammonia absorption refrigeration systems. We design our cooling plants adapted to your requirements, like required cooling capacity and evaporation temperature, available heat to re-use and available space for implementation - valuing your (waste) heat streams to generate refrigeration down to -70°C.


Heat & Mass Transfer

Tube and shell heat exchanger, for liquid to liquid, gas to liquid or gas to gas heat exchange. Evaporators or boilers, rectification columns and absorbers. All our heat exchangers are manufactured in Europe to the highest manufacturing standards and strictest quality controls and come with all the necessary approvals and certifications.


Research & Development

The ammonia-water absorption technology has been the focus of research and development projects in a wide range of applications beyond refrigeration. These applications include high-temperature heat pumps, power plants based on the Kalina process, and more. From the beginning, we have dedicated part of our resources to the development of new technologies.
