BL Thermodynamics is based in Aachen, at the very western end of Germany. Our office is located only a few hundred meters from the borders of the Netherlands and Belgium. Refrigeration

We are a manufacturer of turnkey ammonia absorption refrigeration systems. Every plant is individually designed to meet your specific requirements, including cooling capacity, evaporation temperature, available driving heat, and the installation space available for integration into existing cooling networks.

By utilizing waste heat or other thermal energy sources, our systems provide efficient refrigeration down to -70°C – delivering reliable, powerful, and resource-efficient cooling solutions.

Heat Pump & MVR

With tailor-made ammonia heat pumps and MVR systems, we unlock the potential of industrial waste heat. We design and deliver turnkey solutions that are precisely adapted to your process requirements – from heating capacity and temperature levels to the technically and economically optimal integration into existing energy and heating networks.

Our heat pumps efficiently convert unused heat sources into valuable process heat, producing hot water or steam at elevated temperatures. In addition, low-pressure steam can be efficiently recovered and reused through mechanical vapor recompression (MVR). This reduces energy costs, lowers CO₂ emissions, and improves the sustainability of your operations.

Process Equipment

Our shell-and-tube heat exchangers are designed for a wide variety of heat transfer applications, including liquid-to-liquid, gas-to-liquid, and gas-to-gas processes. Whether used as evaporators, generators, rectification columns, or absorbers, every unit is manufactured according to the highest European quality standards.

All equipment undergoes rigorous quality control procedures and is supplied with the required approvals and certifications to ensure maximum safety, reliability, and operational performance.
