Ammonia Absorption Chiller

Tailor-made absorption refrigeration plants

Ammonia absorption chillers are heat driven refrigeration systems. You find them often in the chemical or food industry, where they have been in operation for many years. Beside the possibility of using waste- or green-heat as energy source, ammonia absorption refrigeration systems are characterized above all by their exceptional longevity and reliability with the lowest maintenance requirements compared to other cooling technologies.

The layout, design, procurement and installation on-site of absorption chillers from BL thermodynamics are customized according to customer requirements based on our experience gained from the implementation of many ammonia absorption plants worldwide over the last 35 years.

Key features:

  • Evaporation temperatures down to -70°C
  • Capacities ranging from 100 kW to 10,000 kW and beyond
  • Complete pre-assembled units can be supplied turnkey up to approx. 1,000 kW
  • Larger systems can be based on several prefab packages or skids that are connected on site
